The Neural DT systems have
directional biases. Does that mean they won’t work if the market trend changes?
Not at all. As day trading systems, both Neural DT systems are very short-term
in nature. Neural DT 1 trades trends that last less than one hour, and Neural DT
60 trades trends that last less than one day session. Despite the overall trend
in the market – whether the market could be called a bull or bear market – there
will be no shortage of opportunities for either system.
Can I trade the
systems on other markets? Neural DT 1 and Neural DT 60 work
best on the ER2 and EMD markets. I don’t recommend trading them on any other
markets. The ER2 market in particular has been the best day trading market for
stock index futures traders in recent years and shows no signs of changing.
Is the system code available for
other platforms?
No. I only have the code available in
EasyLanguage for TradeStation. However, the code is open and commented and
available in a text file to all purchasers so that those without TradeStation can view it. Also,
the trading logic is explained in the user’s guide. A competent programmer may
be able to translate the code to another scripting language.
If you're unable to trade the system yourself or
you don't wish to obtain TradeStation, please contact:

"broker-assisted" basis.
Do you have brokerage
statements available to validate the systems’ performance?
No. I don’t maintain tracking accounts for my
different systems. I have too many systems to trade all of them, and, because of
my different business interests, I only trade part-time. Each system was
optimized over both the ER2 and EMD markets together, for a total of over 1100
trades in each optimization sample. This large number of trades makes the
likelihood of over-fitting remote. Also, prior to the final optimization, Neural
DT 60 was tracked in real time from November 2006 until August 2007 to verify
the performance.
What is the minimum
recommended account size?
I would recommend a minimum of $7500.
Because of diversification effects, it is preferable to trade both systems
together on either the EMD or ER2. This should reduce the drawdown and increase performance. Trading on
both markets together is not recommended because the two markets are highly
correlated. It's better to start trading with more than the recommended minimums
if possible in order to reduce the effects of drawdowns.
How can I be sure your system
is really as good as you claim?
It's certainly true that there are some poor
systems for sale, and there are probably some disreputable system vendors.
Ultimately, it's a matter of trust. First, if you don't know who I am,
my brief biography is posted here. More
importantly, I urge anyone who's considering purchasing Neural DT to browse the
back issues of the newsletters I've written
and posted on this site. Those newsletters should give anyone a good idea of
how I approach and analyze the markets and how I approach trading system
development. If you don't like what you read in those newsletters or if you
don't feel like you can trust that I'm selling a valid system after reading what
I've written, then you shouldn't buy my systems.
I already own MSA 2, but I
don't see the $150 discount when I order. How do I get the discount?
If you previously
purchased MSA 2 or MSA 3, I'll process your $150 discount as a refund
immediately after purchase. Your net purchase cost will reflect the discount. If
you purchase Neural DT using a different email address or name than the one you
used to order MSA, please send me an email message to let me know you're
entitled to the discount. Thank you.
When I go to order the system, it shows the online store as "Adaptrade", not
Breakout Futures. Is this correct?
Yes, Breakout Futures
and Adaptrade Software are both owned and operated by me, Michael Bryant. I'm
using the Adaptrade Software store to process orders now, but the sale
is still through Breakout Futures. All policies and terms for Neural DT are as
outlined on this web site.
Can I
get a refund if it doesn't work?
You have 30 days to return the systems
for a full refund. Please see our
refund/return policy.
The 30 day refund policy is not a "trial" of the system. Please do your due
diligence before purchasing. Detailed performance reports
are available for both Neural DT systems.
Do you
have any brokers who can trade the system for me?
Yes. If you're
